SENCO Training
The Institute of Mental Health invites you to train your schools about attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), in a half-day workshop designed by local academic professionals and lived experience course facilitators for Nottinghamshire school special education needs co-ordinators (SENCOs).
Summary
SENCOs play a key role in the development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and code of practise in schools, and it is crucial that they are knowledgeable in all aspects of SEN. Experts at the University of Nottingham have created a ‘train the trainer’ method to educate whole schools about ADHD. This uses a trickle-down method, to pass knowledge from our ADHD Experts to your school SENCOs taking the ADHD awareness course, to other teachers in your schools.
